Addiction Professional features Jane Eigner Mintz PDF Print E-mail

Jane recently wrote an article for Addiction Professional magazine, which has been published in their May/June edition.

Here's an excerpt from that article: "For years we have railed about the recidivism of the disease and poor outcome statistics. It is time we looked to ourselves as individuals and institutions and honestly asked, “What is our part in this equation? Are we truly the best we can be?”

Certainly, in terms of the intervention world we need to continue all efforts to raise the bar for interventionists currently in the field as well as individuals wishing to enter the field. Organizations such as AIS and the International Interventionists Credentialing Board (IICB) have made great strides to create structure, accountability, camaraderie and support for interventionists. AIS is the only credible membership-driven organization currently available to intervention specialists; it has worked hard to create a professional standard and a code of ethics for interventionists."

THE FIELD MODEL OF INTERVENTION. FMI was created to focus on the clinical and crisis-oriented issues associated with intervention. FMI offers the most comprehensive assessment, case development and implementation strategies for the clinically complex and reactive client. The Field Model of Intervention is the FIRST AND ONLY approved ON-LINE training program in the intervention and addiction fields accredited by NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. Additionally, the training offered through 3IS exceeds all of the criteria as specified by AISCB, which is now IICB, for the BRI-1 distinction.

On this site, intervention, addiction and behavioral health professionals will be able to create an account, purchase their training module and begin their training. There will also be an option to purchase the supervision hours to complete the process of receiving the BRI-I and BRI-II licensure requirement.

We welcome you to our site and look forward to providing resources and accountability to drive our you to all new levels of success within the industry itself and with the people we treat each and every day.
